Betting Sites That Accept PalmPay in Nigeria: Which Bookies Take It, the Limits, and How to Get Winnings Back
Welcome bonus for new players + fast crypto payouts. Just helping a brother out.

PalmPay has become one of the easiest ways to fund a betting account in Nigeria, and I keep getting the same message from the guys: "Which sites actually take PalmPay, and will my winnings come back to it?" Fair question, my brother. Some bookies show PalmPay as a wallet, some hide it inside the bank list, and a few don't take it at all. This page sorts it out, using what the bookmakers publish themselves, and it tells you plainly where we could not confirm something.
18+ only. We may earn a commission if you sign up through some links on this site, at no extra cost to you. We are not affiliated with PalmPay, Bet9ja, BetKing or SportyBet, and the buttons on this page go to Cloudbet, a crypto sportsbook that holds a Curaçao licence, is not licensed by any Nigerian state regulator, and does not take PalmPay. Since the Supreme Court judgment of 22 November 2024, betting in Nigeria is regulated state by state (for example by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority), with the federal regulator covering the FCT.

Quick answer: the main betting sites that accept PalmPay
Here's what we found when we checked in late October 2026. Treat it as a starting point, not a promise, because payment menus change without warning:
| Bookmaker | PalmPay deposit? | Where it's confirmed | What to watch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bet9ja | Yes, two ways: "PalmPay App" and "PalmPay Transfer" | Bet9ja's own help site (payment methods table and a step-by-step PalmPay guide) | Withdrawals go to a bank account in your name; PalmPay is added as a bank. |
| BetKing | Yes | BetKing's promotions page runs a "PalmPay 10% Discount" on deposits from ₦100 | The discount has its own rules: twice a day per User ID, per the promo text. |
| SportyBet | Reported yes | Third-party guides (we could not open a SportyBet help page that names PalmPay) | Check the deposit page in your own app before you rely on it. |
| 1xBet, Betway, 22Bet, BetWinner, Melbet | Reported yes | Third-party comparison tables, e.g. naijabettingguide.com | Minimums and speeds in those tables are their numbers, not the bookies'. |
| Cloudbet (our partner) | No | Cloudbet's currency list is crypto only for Nigeria | You'd buy crypto first; see the section below. |
If a bookie you like isn't on that list, it doesn't mean it rejects PalmPay. It means we didn't find it confirmed. Open the deposit screen and look, or search the PalmPay app's Betting biller list, which is where most people start anyway.
The two ways PalmPay appears in a betting cashier
This is the bit that confuses people, so let's clear it up first. PalmPay can reach a betting wallet in two quite different ways.
1. As a biller inside the PalmPay app. You open PalmPay, tap the Betting icon on the home screen, pick the bookmaker from a list, type your betting User ID, and pay. The money goes from your PalmPay wallet straight into the betting account. You never open the bookie's cashier at all. Bet9ja calls this route "PalmPay App".
2. As a transfer or a bank in the bookie's cashier. Here you start in the betting app. You pick a transfer method, the site shows you an account or a payment request, and you pay it from PalmPay like any bank transfer. Bet9ja lists this as "PalmPay Transfer". On some sites PalmPay doesn't appear as its own button and instead hides in the bank list as "PalmPay" or "PalmPay Limited". If you can't find it as a wallet, scroll the bank list before you give up.
Why does it matter? Because the limits are different, the receipts look different, and if something goes wrong, the support team will ask which route you used. Screenshot the confirmation either way.
Bet9ja and PalmPay: the published limits and steps
Bet9ja is the clearest case because its help site spells everything out. Its payment methods table, as we read it in October 2026, lists:
- PalmPay App: minimum ₦100, maximum ₦1,000,000.
- PalmPay Transfer: minimum ₦100, maximum ₦5,000,000.
For comparison, the same table shows OPay App at ₦100 to ₦100,000 and OPay Transfer at ₦100 to ₦5,000,000. So if you're a bigger punter who funds in one go, PalmPay App's ₦1m ceiling gives you more room than the OPay App route.
Bet9ja's own "PalmPay deposit journey" guide lists these steps:
- Download the PalmPay app and log in.
- Tap the Betting icon on the home page.
- Select Bet9ja from the biller list, enter the User ID you want to fund and the amount, then tap Next.
- Confirm the details, especially that the User ID is right.
- Pay from your wallet and enter your transaction PIN.
Step 4 is the one that saves you. A single wrong digit can send your money into a stranger's Bet9ja account. If the name that comes back isn't yours, back out and type it again. Don't "just try" a payment.
BetKing and PalmPay: the deposit discount
BetKing's promotions page has been running a "PalmPay 10% Discount": up to 10% off everyday BetKing deposits made with PalmPay, claimable twice a day per BetKing User ID, on deposits as low as ₦100. In plain English, you pay a bit less from PalmPay than the amount that lands in your betting balance, or you get some of it back, depending on how the promo is set up that week.
Two things to keep in mind:
- "Up to" means up to. The 10% is a ceiling. Read the promo page for any cap per deposit before you assume you'll save ₦1,000 on a ₦10,000 top-up.
- Promos end. We saw it on BetKing's page in October 2026. It could be gone or changed when you read this. Check before you pick PalmPay over your normal route just for the discount.
BetKing's general deposit help page lists other routes too, such as Interswitch card payments, Quickteller, bank branches, the OPay app and OPay agents, with a ₦100 minimum on most. PalmPay itself is shown through the promotion rather than that older help page, so if the PalmPay biller isn't working, those other routes are your backup.
SportyBet and the rest: what we could and couldn't confirm
SportyBet is the one most of you will ask about. Third-party guides say SportyBet lists PalmPay as a wallet option for both deposits and withdrawals, with a ₦100 minimum deposit. One guide reports PalmPay withdrawals on weekday afternoons often clearing in minutes. That fits what a lot of punters say, but we couldn't open an official SportyBet help page that names PalmPay, so we're reporting it as third-party, not as fact.
The same goes for 1xBet, Betway, 22Bet, BetWinner and Melbet. Comparison tables put them all on the PalmPay list, with minimum deposits from about ₦100 to ₦500 and minimum withdrawals between ₦500 and ₦1,000. Those numbers come from the guide writers, not the operators. If the exact minimum matters to you, the bookie's deposit screen is the only source that counts.
One more honest point: being on a payments list says nothing about whether a site is licensed where you live. Before you deposit anywhere, check the operator on your state regulator's register. On the Lagos (LSLGA) register as we read it on 29 October 2026, for example, Bet9ja, SportyBet and 1XBET.NG were listed with licence end dates in 2027, while the printed date for BetKing had already passed. That could just be a slow register update, but it's worth checking yourself.
Can you withdraw winnings to PalmPay?
Often yes, but the method depends on the bookie, and this is where people get stuck.
Sites that treat PalmPay as a wallet let you pick PalmPay in the withdrawal menu, usually linked to the phone number on your PalmPay account. The phone number on the betting account and on PalmPay should match.
Sites that treat PalmPay as a bank, which is how Bet9ja handles it, want you to add PalmPay as a bank account. Bet9ja's withdrawal process runs through My Account, Manage Bank Account, then Add Bank Account, and its help site says the name on the account must match your Bet9ja registration name. Bet9ja's minimum withdrawal, from its own help page, is ₦1,000. A PalmPay account number is usually your phone number without the leading zero, but check what your PalmPay app shows under account details.
The rule that catches most people: the name on PalmPay must match the name on your betting account. If you registered your betting account as "Tunde A." and PalmPay knows you as "Babatunde Adewale Okonkwo", expect a hold. Bet9ja's help pages warn that a name mismatch can freeze withdrawals until you send ID and a bank statement. Sort the names out before you have money waiting.

PalmPay deposit problems and how to fix them
Most PalmPay betting complaints fall into five buckets:
- Money left PalmPay but the betting balance didn't move. Wait 15 to 30 minutes, then refresh the betting app and log out and in. If it's still missing, contact the bookie's official support with the PalmPay transaction reference, the User ID you used, the amount and the time. PalmPay support can confirm the payment went out; only the bookie can credit it.
- Wrong User ID. This is the painful one. Contact the bookie immediately. Some will help trace it, many can't reverse a credit to someone else's account. The name check before you pay exists for a reason.
- Bookmaker missing from the biller list. Use the transfer route in the bookie's cashier instead, or check whether PalmPay renamed the biller.
- Transaction declined. Usually your PalmPay tier limit, a daily limit, or a temporary block. Check your account level in PalmPay. Higher tiers need BVN or NIN verification.
- Discount or bonus didn't apply. Re-read the promo rules: per-day limits, minimums, and whether the offer is only on the biller route.
And the scam warning, because people lose real money this way: nobody from PalmPay or any bookie will ever ask for your PIN, password or OTP. Not on WhatsApp, not on a call, not "to reverse your failed deposit". Anyone asking is a scammer. Hang up.
PalmPay safety in a sentence or two
PalmPay describes itself as licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and says customer deposits are insured by the NDIC. That's about your wallet balance. It says nothing about the betting site you send money to. PalmPay can confirm a payment left your wallet; it can't settle a dispute about a voided bet or a delayed withdrawal. That's the bookmaker's job, and it's why the licence check above matters.
PalmPay vs OPay vs bank transfer for betting
| What you care about | PalmPay | OPay | Ordinary bank transfer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speed into the betting wallet | Usually instant via biller | Usually instant via biller | Usually fast, sometimes delayed |
| Bet9ja app-route maximum (help site) | ₦1,000,000 | ₦100,000 | Depends on bank route |
| Deposit promos | BetKing 10% discount seen Oct 2026 | Varies | Rare |
| Withdrawals back to it | Many sites, as wallet or bank | Some sites only | Almost every site |
| Main risk | Wrong User ID, name mismatch | Wrong User ID, name mismatch | Wrong account, reversal delays |

What about Cloudbet and other crypto sportsbooks?
Being straight with you: Cloudbet, the sportsbook our buttons link to, does not accept PalmPay. It's a crypto sportsbook. You'd fund it with coins like USDT, BTC or ETH, not naira from a wallet. Cloudbet's help pages list USDT on networks including Tron, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, TON and Avalanche, with minimum deposits of about US$1 or less shown on the deposit screen.
So the PalmPay route there would be: use PalmPay to fund an exchange or P2P seller that you trust, buy USDT, then send it to your Cloudbet deposit address on the exact network the deposit page shows. Wrong network or unsupported token deposits are generally not recoverable, so copy the address and network carefully. Withdrawals come back as crypto too, which you'd then sell for naira. That's more steps than a PalmPay biller, and the naira-to-USDT rate moves, so it only makes sense if you specifically want crypto betting, Cloudbet's markets, or its no-wagering welcome rewards. Cloudbet also asks for ID once cumulative deposits reach about US$2,200, so "crypto" doesn't mean "no verification".
If all you want is quick naira betting on the NPFL or Premier League, a licensed local bookie with PalmPay is the simpler choice. We'd rather tell you that than pretend one site suits everybody.
A short checklist before your first PalmPay deposit
- Confirm the bookie is on your state's licence register.
- Make sure the name on PalmPay matches your betting account name exactly.
- Check whether that bookie pays out to PalmPay, and how (wallet or bank).
- Note the minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal in the bookie's own cashier.
- Read any PalmPay promo rules if you're chasing the discount.
- Do one small test deposit, ₦100 to ₦500, before moving bigger money.
- Save the PalmPay reference for every deposit until it's credited.
- Set a weekly betting budget and a deposit limit in the betting account.
Keep it fun
PalmPay makes depositing quick, and that's exactly why it's worth being careful. Two taps from a salary wallet is a dangerous combination after a bad result. Pick a weekly amount that wouldn't hurt to lose, move only that amount into a separate pocket, and bet from there. If you're topping up again and again on the same night, chasing losses, or hiding transfers from family, stop for the day.
Most bookies let you set deposit limits and self-exclude in account settings. Our responsible gambling page lists more tools, and Gamble Alert offers free, confidential help 24/7 on +234 916 295 7989, or toll-free on +234 705 889 0073 and +234 705 889 0074.
My take
PalmPay works with most big Nigerian betting sites. Bet9ja confirms it in writing with a generous ₦1m app limit, BetKing has been sweetening it with a deposit discount, and SportyBet and the international brands are widely reported to take it. Double-check the User ID, match your names, test with a small amount, and confirm how winnings come back before you need them. Do that and PalmPay is one of the smoothest ways to bet in Naija.
Questions punters ask
Which betting sites accept PalmPay in Nigeria?
Bet9ja confirms PalmPay on its help site, BetKing runs a PalmPay deposit promo, and third-party guides report SportyBet, 1xBet, Betway, 22Bet, BetWinner and Melbet take it. Always check the bookie's deposit screen.
What is the minimum PalmPay deposit on Bet9ja?
Bet9ja's payment methods table lists ₦100 minimum for both PalmPay App (max ₦1,000,000) and PalmPay Transfer (max ₦5,000,000).
Can I withdraw betting winnings to PalmPay?
On many sites, yes. Some list PalmPay as a wallet, others, like Bet9ja, need PalmPay added as a bank account in your own name.
Why didn't my PalmPay deposit reach my betting account?
Wait 15 to 30 minutes and refresh, then contact the bookmaker's official support with the PalmPay transaction reference, User ID, amount and time.
Does BetKing give a PalmPay discount?
BetKing's promotions page showed a PalmPay discount of up to 10% on deposits from ₦100, claimable twice a day per User ID, in October 2026. Promos change, so check the page.
Does Cloudbet accept PalmPay?
No. Cloudbet takes crypto only. You'd need to buy crypto such as USDT first and deposit it on a supported network. Cloudbet is licensed in Curaçao, not by any Nigerian state.
Is it safe to bet with PalmPay?
PalmPay says it is CBN-licensed with NDIC-insured deposits, but that covers your wallet, not the betting site. Check the bookie's licence and never share your PIN or OTP.
