Betting Sites That Accept Binance Pay Deposits in Nigeria: Binance Pay vs a Normal Withdrawal, Life After Binance Dropped the Naira, Network Fees and a Safe Test Deposit

18+. Crypto deposits. Cloudbet is licensed in Curaçao, not in Nigeria. Ad: we may earn a commission. Bet only what you can afford to lose.

Plenty of Nigerian punters still keep crypto on Binance, so it makes sense to ask which betting sites take Binance Pay deposits. The honest answer starts with a small but important detail: most crypto sportsbooks don't need Binance Pay at all. They give you a deposit address, and you send crypto to it with a normal Binance withdrawal. Knowing that difference, plus what changed when Binance pulled its naira services in 2024, will save you fees, failed deposits and a few scams. Let me break it down like I'd do for my own guy.
18+ only. Following the Supreme Court judgment in SC/1/2008 (22 November 2024), betting is regulated state by state, with bodies such as the LSLGA in Lagos and the NLRC for the FCT. Cloudbet, the sportsbook our buttons lead to, is licensed in Curaçao and isn't licensed by any Nigerian state regulator. Binance Pay is not among the deposit options we've recorded for Cloudbet; it takes crypto sent to a deposit address. Binance dates below come from Binance's own March 2024 announcement. Fee and price figures in the tables are made up to show the maths.

Binance Pay and a normal withdrawal are two different things
| Binance Pay | On-chain withdrawal | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A payment feature for paying merchants that have integrated Binance Pay, or sending to other Binance users by Pay ID | Sending coins from your Binance account to any wallet address on a blockchain network |
| Needs the betting site to… | Be a Binance Pay merchant | Show you a deposit address for the coin and network |
| Network choice | Not needed; it moves inside Binance | You must pick a network (for example Tron or BNB Smart Chain) that the betting site supports |
| Fees | Set by Binance for Pay transfers | A withdrawal fee shown by Binance, which differs by coin and network |
| Proof | Binance Pay order or transfer record | Transaction hash (TxID) on a public blockchain |
So when people say a sportsbook "accepts Binance", they nearly always mean the second column: you withdraw from Binance to the sportsbook's address. That works with any crypto sportsbook that supports the coin and network, and it doesn't depend on whether the site has a Binance Pay deal.
What changed when Binance dropped the naira
Binance announced on 5 March 2024 that it would discontinue all Nigerian naira (NGN) services. From its announcement:
| Date (UTC) | What Binance switched off |
|---|---|
| 28 Feb 2024 | Binance P2P delisted all NGN trading pairs |
| 5 Mar 2024 | NGN deposits no longer supported |
| 6 Mar 2024 | NGN removed from Binance Pay's supported payment options |
| 7 Mar 2024 | NGN spot pairs (BTC/NGN, USDT/NGN) and Binance Convert NGN pairs delisted |
| 8 Mar 2024 | NGN withdrawals stopped; leftover NGN balances converted to USDT at 1 USDT = ₦1,515.13 |
Binance later clarified that user accounts themselves weren't directly affected and people could keep accessing them. In practice that means: if you already hold crypto on Binance, you can usually still withdraw it to a sportsbook address, but Binance is no longer a place to turn naira into crypto or crypto back into naira. That's the part that changes your planning.
Where that leaves your naira
Since Binance won't take or pay out naira, your route to a crypto sportsbook has a gap at both ends:
- Getting crypto in the first place. You need another platform to buy it with naira. Under the Investments and Securities Act 2025, the SEC Nigeria oversees digital-asset platforms, so check the SEC's list before you trust one with your money.
- Turning winnings back into naira. The same applies on the way out. Know your cash-out route before you deposit, not after a win.
- Don't hand naira to a stranger "for Binance". With no NGN on Binance's own P2P, offers on social media to "load your Binance" are a common scam setup.
Does Cloudbet take Binance Pay?
Binance Pay isn't on the deposit options we've recorded for Cloudbet. What Cloudbet does list is a long set of coins, including BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, LTC, SOL, XRP, TRON, DOGE, TON and more, each with its own deposit address. USDT is supported on several networks: Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche C-Chain, Solana, Polygon, Tron and TON. Bridged or wrapped tokens such as USDC.e are not supported. The minimum deposit is about US$1 or less and shown on the deposit screen; anything below it isn't credited. Always check the cashier yourself, because coin lists change.
So the practical way to go from Binance to Cloudbet is a normal Binance withdrawal to your Cloudbet deposit address.
If a site really does offer Binance Pay checkout
Some crypto sites do integrate Binance Pay as a checkout button. If you find one, a Pay checkout can be convenient because there's no network to pick. But check these before you approve the payment in your Binance app:
- The merchant name on the Binance Pay screen should match the betting site or its named payment processor, not a person.
- The amount and coin should match what you typed on the betting site. If the order says 50 USDT and you meant 5, cancel.
- The order expiry: checkout orders usually expire after a short time. Don't pay an expired or re-sent order from a chat message.
- Where the order came from: only pay an order that opened from the site's own cashier while you were logged in, never a QR code or link someone sent you.
- The site's licence: a smooth checkout says nothing about whether the site is licensed, pays out, or treats players fairly. Check that separately.
If any of those don't line up, back out and use a normal address deposit instead, where you can see exactly where the coins go.
Picking the network: the fee maths for small deposits
Binance charges a withdrawal fee that depends on the coin and the network. For big deposits it barely matters; for small ones it can be a big slice. Here's a made-up example with three imaginary network fees:
| Deposit size | Fee $3.00 (pricey network) | Fee $0.80 (middle) | Fee $0.20 (cheap network) |
|---|---|---|---|
| $10 | 30% | 8% | 2% |
| $50 | 6% | 1.6% | 0.4% |
| $200 | 1.5% | 0.4% | 0.1% |
Two lessons. First, on a $10 deposit, the wrong network can cost more than the bookmaker's margin on several bets. Second, many small deposits cost more than one planned deposit. Look at the fee Binance shows on the withdrawal screen for each network, and pick a network that both Binance and the sportsbook support and that's cheap at that moment. These fee numbers are invented; real ones change.
Memos and tags
Some coins need an extra field, often called a memo, tag or comment, on top of the address. If the sportsbook cashier shows a memo or tag for the coin you picked, you must enter it in Binance's withdrawal form. Without it, the deposit can reach the right wallet but fail to credit your account, and recovery is slow or impossible. If no memo is shown, leave the field empty. If you're unsure, use a coin and network that doesn't need one, such as USDT on Tron or BNB Smart Chain.
Binance security settings that can block you on match day
Binance protects withdrawals with things like two-factor authentication and address management, and changing security settings can trigger a temporary withdrawal hold. That's good protection but bad timing if you only try on Saturday at 3 pm. So:
- Set up 2FA and any address whitelist well before you need to deposit.
- Save your sportsbook deposit address in Binance's address book with a clear label, after a successful test.
- Don't change your phone, email or 2FA right before a planned deposit.
- Never approve a withdrawal you didn't start; if you get a code you didn't ask for, someone may be trying to access your account.
Questions to ask support before your first deposit
A two-minute live chat before you send anything can save you a long ticket later. Ask the sportsbook:
- Which networks do you support for the coin I want to use, right now?
- Does this coin need a memo or tag on your side?
- What's the minimum deposit for this coin, and is it measured before or after the network fee?
- How many confirmations do you wait for before crediting?
- Are there any limits or checks on withdrawals for my country or verification level?
Screenshot the answers. If support can't answer simple questions like these clearly, take that as a warning about how they'll handle a payout problem.

A safe test deposit, step by step
- Log in to the sportsbook, open the cashier and choose the coin (for example USDT) and the network (for example Tron).
- Copy the deposit address using the copy button, not by hand. Note any memo or tag.
- In Binance, go to withdraw, pick the same coin, paste the address and pick the same network. Binance often detects the network from the address; double-check it anyway.
- Send a small amount above the sportsbook's minimum.
- Copy the TxID from Binance's withdrawal history.
- Wait for the network confirmations and check that the deposit shows in the sportsbook balance.
- Only then send your main amount, and save the address in your Binance address book.
When the deposit doesn't arrive
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Binance says "processing" | Withdrawal still being handled by Binance | Wait; check for any security review notice |
| Binance says complete, TxID shows confirmations still counting | Network confirmations not finished | Wait for the required confirmations |
| TxID confirmed, balance not credited | Missing memo/tag, amount below minimum, or unsupported token | Contact sportsbook support with TxID, coin, network and amount |
| Sent on a network the site doesn't list | Network mismatch | Contact support straight away; recovery isn't guaranteed |
| Sent a wrapped or bridged token | Token not supported (for example USDC.e at Cloudbet) | Contact support; avoid wrapped versions next time |
Getting winnings back to Binance
The same rules work in reverse. In Binance, open deposit, choose the coin and network, and copy that address into the sportsbook's withdrawal form, with the same network selected. Send a small withdrawal first if it's your first time. Cloudbet's withdrawal help says the minimum depends on the coin, a network fee is shown, and payouts are typically processed within 24 hours. Its terms (18.1.5) require ID, proof of address and a face check once lifetime deposits reach US$2,200, so get verified early if you plan to bet more than that over time. Remember, once winnings are back on Binance, you still need a separate route to naira.
USDT or BTC? The price question
If you deposit Bitcoin or another coin that moves in price, your betting balance moves too, even if you don't bet. A made-up $100 example:
| Scenario | Balance in a stablecoin | Balance in a volatile coin |
|---|---|---|
| Coin price falls 5% while you wait | $100 | $95 |
| Coin price rises 5% | $100 | $105 |
| Coin price falls 10% | $100 | $90 |
If you only want to bet on football, a dollar stablecoin like USDT keeps the betting and the coin price separate. If you hold BTC because you want BTC exposure, that's fine, but understand that a winning bet can still end up worth less if the price drops.
Keep a simple TxID log
Blockchain transfers can't be reversed, so your records are your only leverage if something goes wrong. Each time you move crypto between Binance and a sportsbook, write down a line like this (made-up entries):
| Date | Direction | Coin / network | Amount | TxID (first and last 6 characters) | Credited? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 Oct | Binance → sportsbook | USDT / Tron | 12 | a1b2c3…x9y8z7 | Yes |
| 3 Oct | Binance → sportsbook | USDT / Tron | 48 | d4e5f6…u6v5w4 | Yes |
| 19 Oct | Sportsbook → Binance | USDT / Tron | 25 | g7h8i9…r3s2t1 | Yes |
The log does two jobs. It speeds up any support ticket, because you can hand over the exact TxID, network and amount. And at the end of the month it shows your real result: here, $60 in and $25 out, so a $35 loss, however good the winning night felt.
Mistakes we see over and over
- Retyping an address by hand. One wrong character and the coins go somewhere else. Always copy and paste, then check the first and last few characters.
- Reusing an old deposit address without checking. Sites can change addresses or networks. Open the cashier and compare each time, at least until it's saved after a fresh test.
- Choosing a network because it's the default. The default on Binance isn't always the one the sportsbook supports, or the cheapest.
- Sending exactly the minimum. If the network fee is taken from the amount, what arrives can fall under the minimum and not be credited. Send a bit more.
- Depositing to chase a loss. Fast crypto deposits make it very easy to top up in the middle of a bad evening. Decide your monthly amount once, and stop when it's used.
"Pay to my Binance Pay ID" betting offers
On Telegram and WhatsApp you'll find people who say they're agents for a sportsbook and ask you to send crypto to their Binance Pay ID, promising to credit your betting account. Some say they offer "bonus" or "fixed" odds. Treat these as scams:
- Legit sportsbooks credit your account through their own cashier, not through a person's Pay ID.
- Binance Pay transfers between users are usually final. If the "agent" disappears, so does your money.
- Fixed-match tipsters asking for Binance Pay are selling something that doesn't exist.
A made-up example from Benin City
Osas has had about $60 of USDT on Binance since before 2024. He wants to bet on the Champions League at Cloudbet. He opens the Cloudbet cashier, picks USDT on Tron, copies the address, and in Binance chooses the same coin and network. The fee screen shows a low fee for Tron and a much higher one for Ethereum, so Tron it is. He sends $12 as a test, sees it credited, saves the address in his Binance address book and sends the rest. He sets himself a rule: no more top-ups this month. When he wins $25 later, he withdraws it back to Binance on the same network. Because Binance no longer deals in naira, he already knows which SEC-registered platform he'll use when he wants naira.

My take
Don't get hung up on finding a "Binance Pay betting site". For a crypto sportsbook like Cloudbet, a normal Binance withdrawal to your deposit address does the job, as long as the coin, network and any memo match and you test first. The bigger change is that Binance hasn't handled naira since March 2024, so plan your naira-to-crypto and crypto-to-naira steps through a platform registered with the SEC Nigeria. And keep in mind Cloudbet is licensed in Curaçao, not by a Nigerian state. Bet only what you can afford to lose.
